Services, more than stuff, are worth their weight in gold for a family that’s expecting. The most valuable resources for a postpartum family are time, sleep, and time to sleep. While we haven’t figured out a way to tie those up in a pretty bow to gift our expecting families, you CAN give some things that are almost as good. Support!
Registry websites are catching on to this too. Sites like Babylist, WithJoy, and BeHerVillage all have options to contribute money to services that will provide meaningful assistance to the growing family. BeHerVillage allows families to begin a registry with the services that would be most helpful. For those who want to contribute, you simply put money into their registry.
